On an individual competitor’s record, I can fill in the ‘tally number’ field. However, I can’t seem to add that field (and have it populated) on one of the reports under ‘Publish’ menu.
I’ve tried editing the reports (such as the ‘Sign on / Sign off’ sheet), but can’t find or guess the field name to have that appear.
In the end, I export as a CSV and do it in a spreadsheet, but is there a way to have a simple list of all competitors and their tally number through Sailwave, please?
It sounds like you have not allowed the 'tally number' field to
be published. If the field/column is showing on the screen,
right-click the column header then select rename column and check
the box for publishing.
If the 'tally number' field is not showing on the screen then
click columns on the toolbar and search for ‘Tally’ in the window
that appears and double-click to edit. Again set the field for
publishing.
If neither of these work then send me the file and I will take
look at it.

will publish a list of competitors and their associated
information.

When I open the Sailwave .BLW file you sent and publish
“Populated sign on / sign off’” report I get the tally column
showing in my web browser - see attached screen capture. I made no
changes to your file before doing this.
Looking at the the screen shot you sent, I can see you are using
the "Populated sign on / sign off " report. What this window does
is allows you to add extra column[s] to capture extra information
that is not in Sailwave like signatures - one declaring going out
to race and one for declaring they are back ashore, for example.
The “Populated sign on / sign off” report will publish all columns
checked to be published; so if the Tally field/column is checked
for publishing then it should be published.
If you still have problems then I am here to help more if I can.

Huw - I’m very sorry. I was looking at my column added ‘Tally’ (right-hand in your screenshot) and it’s not populating. I didn’t look to the left-hand side to see the same field, this time populated.

Another alternative is to use the SWClist program included with the Sailwave install
You can choose which columns to publish and can have additional columns for sign in and out
