Race Reporting - Other info, renaming columns?

Is there a way to publish the time from first place finisher delta Vs Average Speed in the Column after the corrected time?

Just curious?

Tim

Hi Tim,

Firstly, welcome to the Sailwave User Group forum.

There is an option to publish as part of the individual race results tables the BCE (Back Calculated Elapsed) time, i.e. the amount of time a competitor would have had to reduce their elapsed time by to come equal first on corrected time.

In the first publishing window, click the Options tab and check the box beside BCE to have published.

There is also the BCR (Back Calculated Rating) which is the rating a competitor would have needed to come equal first on corrected time.

I hope the information is useful.

PS - there is a thread in this forum which might be of interest - BCE doesn't seem right - #2 by Sailwave

Kind regards,

Thank you for this. I have seen an extra column in some places I race that is after the corrected time column and it then shows the delta time that each boat is behind the first boat.

Corrected 50.20.
Corrected 51.20. Delta 1:00
Corrected 52.00. Delta 1:40

Is there some way to set the system up to do this. Right now my club shows avergae speed? What people care about is how far out of first place they are.

Trying to help set this up.

I can send you a picture of what I am seeing at the two clubs. Just trying to make the results better.

Thank you!

Hi Tim,

Well done on wanting to make results more interesting.

To have BCE and/or BCR columns showing in the individual race results, on the first window of the publishing sequence there is a tab labelled ‘Options’. There are two columns of check boxes, the left column is for the overall race results and the right column of check boxes for the individusl race results. I do not recommend checking the DNC box, especially for club series where there many by many boats not sailing in any individaul race.

I hope that this information is useful and what you are looking for.

Kind regards,

Huw

So we can have this then! If I am reading this right.

I am not familiar with the software, but I will get more involved next summer.

I will pass this information on and start learning more myself.

Thank you.
