this release out is so that I can actually work on stuff like that. Mark,

In a quick test, I tried importing the two regattas into a combined series and was unable to score by field as "Score by Field" option was greyed out.
Sailwave seems to think that it is a single fleet regatta!

Do you have 2 regattas with flights to import?
I so, are the boats in the same flights, or : Does all flights(groups) contain the same boats?
I need several options here:
One large regatta option, like the Worlds or The Europeans, where I need to rearrange boats into new groups every evening depending on the rank so far in the regatta. In this option the flights (groups) just race against each other (in the group). Thats why rearrange....
One option (for Optimist regattas) where I need to put boats into flights/groups for a weekend, depending on their rank so far in the season. Then I need to merge (or combine) two (or more) regattas into one long series to make a new ranking.

Martin/Ralph,
You've possibly misinterpreted me. I have cut short recent developments
(there is a lot of half finished stuff in 1.59 that is hidden away at the
moment) which were not flight based, because they were taking too long. The
idea behind getting 1.59 out now is specifically so I can include the flight
features/fixes you want (and other bug fixes) in the short term; days or
weeks... It would have been months otherwise...
Martin, yes, next version will be 1.60, and they will just bump up each time
(no more beta confusion). Most will be private releases to the SUG, some
will also be public releases on the web site.
I expect to regularly release versions from now on, each with with small
increments in functionality... the big bang approach failed.

The regattas I merged were two multi fleet regattas; Ahmanson Cup and Yachting Cup. The regattas included multiple fleets PHRF1/2/3/4, J/105, Schock 35, etc. When I merged the regattas Sailwave did not recognize the fact that the regattas had multiple fleets so I was unable to score by Fleet.

There is a little "disturbing" thing about the sailnumber wizard:
When typing sailnumbers, SW shows a list of SN which shortens while you type... But, it also shows boats thats already have been scored. This could be great when you want to correct/edit a boats score. But when you type the list for the first time, it would have been better if already scored boats didn't show up. If it is done this way for a reason I do not know about, it would have been nice if a warning showed up....
This is not very easy, because I like that if I have to stop registering, and do not know where I stopped; I can sort the race coloumn, and just type a SN and the wizard shows the next number. Then I can refer to the manual list, and find out where I stopped....
Anyway, I'm quite sure about that already scored boats should not show up on the list......

Hi Martin,
I've added a checkbox under the list that says "Don't show competitors that
already have a result for this race". DNC is not considered to be a result
in this context. The checkbox state (checked/unchecked) is remembered the
next time you use the Sailno Wizard. By having the check box under the list
you can quickly tick it to see the diffference.
