I have set up two flights
The Gold fleet go out for 3 races then the Silver.
So that I can publish series results for Gold and Silver separately,
and also (presumably) avoid scoring all Silver as DNC
I have set up a scoring system (AddC) and selected the "split into groups option"
At the end of the day, I have to change AddC to "score all as one group" so that I can publish an
overall series result.
The next day, I will need to change AddC back again to "split into groups" so that I can again
publish race results by flight.
The 'old' SW facility of score by fleet would have avoided the need to keep changing my settings.
Am I right in thinking that now, I should be setting up two AddC scoring systems i.e "AddC by
Flight" and "AddC overall"??

Yes. The old Sailwave could only score in one way across everybody and one
way per field. The new Sailwave can score in as many ways as you like
across everybody and as many ways as you like by each field. Hence the
inheritance stuff, set up a load of scoring systems to score in as many
wasys as you need
per series.
The new system is the old system generalised one step further.
