1.93 05/04 Tie Break BUG!

Hi Colin
Scoring System - Finals & Medal Races Tab
'Only consider Finals when breaking ties'

There is an error either in the tool tip or code.

When checking this box, ties in the Qual series are not broken correctly
Rankings are shown as 4th= etc
If I untick this box, tie break works OK

Tool tip says can tick this at beginning & forget about it

Having entered a load of finish times for a race, I then realise that the start time was wrongly entered :o If I now edit the race to correct the start time, all the existing entries still show the wrong (original) start time :((

The intention was:-

- no finals races sailed - tie break quals normally (so there will be ties).

- at least one finals race sailed - only use finals races when breaking
ties.

Is that a misinterpretation of addC?

Agree with your intentions
which are reflected in the tool tip.

I think the problem is in your code
as it does not revert to tiebreaking on quals
See attached for error when it is switched on
3 boats on 4th=

Also, this is not (currently) a requirement of AddC
It is my suggestion to apply common sense!
