Access denied !

When I import competitors as a csv file – sometimes I get access denied.

Other times it works perfectly – what am I doing wrong?

Anne

This error can happen when the csv file you try to import is still open by another program.

Hi Anne,

As Peter says you can get access denied if the file is still open in some other application.

But if you use the latest version 2.19.8 or later then Sailwave will probably still open it OK as this has been changed to allow opening of files which are still open in other applications.

What version are you currently using?

You need to have the first row contain the titles of the columns

Hi Anne,

Which version of Sailwave are you using? The very latest version

does not give access denied when importing a CSV if open in
spreadsheet application.

Re headings, yse that is expected behaviour if you are not using in

Row 1 the default Sailwave column/field names. The import process
uses your information to provide the same name as you used for the
column. If you right click and select rename a column in Sailwave
you will see the Sailwave default name and the name you used in the
CSV file.

Kind regards,
Huw
