add code table to results

Dee Sailing Club have given me permission to steal their format for showing
what the various codes mean that are used in a set of results.

See this link for an example:
http://www.dee-sc.co.uk/results/2002/d18summer02.htm

Its an easy tweak and quite effective I think; any comments in general...

Quite effective indeed. If only I could remember what the codes stand
for in the first place...

Good idea...

Colin,

Having taken a look at the Dee Sailing Club site I think this is a good
idea. Do you imply by your 'easy tweak' that you could publish this direct
out of SailWave so that the set up of scoring codes for the event in
question is used?

Kind regards,
Huw

Yes - I would suggest having two options - all the codes the series has
defined or just those used in the series at the time of publishing. The
feature would manifest itself like the option to print a table of prizes on
the publishing window.

I agree, a very simple and effective means of demystifying those codes.
Nice one Dee Sailing Club.

I guess the Sailwave tweak could be a checkbox in the 'Publish Results'
dialogue to optionally show the code table under the results summary.....

Colin, Huw,
I would hope for a table that defined just those used in the series at the
time of publishing. The list is long otherwise for no purpose. And would
be an option to print.

Bette,

Colin suggested two options in his response to me, one of which covers your
thought of only publishing the codes used so far in the series and not all
the codes that could be used.

Kind regards,
Huw

Hi Colin,

Definitely a good enhancement, it has my vote.
Liked DSC's example.
