There are likely to be differences between ‘Across the line’ and NHC results. However, if you like to share your Sailwave files either by attaching them to a reply in this thread or sending me by email to huw@sailwave.com, I will take a look and give you feed back.
The scoring system name - you can change - just click the scoring system button on the Ribbon and you will see the name at the top.
You can edit this to what you want to display
Yes its easy to Add new competitors on the day and add an alias for them.
Make sure you are using the latest version of Sailwave and then you can use the effect Display ratings which will show the ratings on the results for the NHC fleet
Have a good play around before the event and if you have any questions please ask.
I have been unable to delete the (1). which I think is adding on the printout of results:-
Appendix A:- Championship Yardstick.
I think this was an old scoring system that copied over.
I have attached the file if you can have a quick look please as the Championship race is’nt using yardsticks just first over the line is what has been requested.
It appears that you had turned on Multiple scoring systems in the Setup User interface, set up 3 different scoring systems, and then Turn it off in the Setup UI.
I’ve deleted these and turned them off for you
You only need to create a Fleet in the Scoring system when it is different than the default
Did you intend to set a discard profile for the NHC fleet of 1,1,1,1,1? I assume not, as this doesn’t make sense, so I have deleted that
Similarly, the rounding for NHC was different, so I have turned that off as well
I notice you have the races scored by elapsed time, which is fine, but it may save you a lot of work if you use start and finish time,s assuming they record the finishing times, which is most common
The Score series was set to score as 1 group it should be set to score by fleet
I’ve added a few effects to make it look more interesting
I’ve also used the RemoveUnusedCols, which you will not have unless you have downloaded it from the Sailwave website
Either download if from the Effects library or remove it from the effects to use when publishing
A sample of the output is attached as is the updated Sailwave file
Let me know if this works for you if you would like any other help
Additionally, I noticed that you have the Burgees configured as hosted on your PC they need to be web-hosted images; you could replace them with this https://www.sailwave.com/results/swlogo30.jpg to test, but see the many topics available on this on the Sailwave and User Group forum
