I’m new to Sail Wave and pitching using it to our club as another way to score our regular racing vs regatta software companies.
But…we use PHRF TOT. And the math is not coming out correctly for corrected ET. I would also like to include a column for ET.
I’ve double checked my entries…and no boat is correct on a scored race.
The TOT factor I calculated and input on the competitor screen. It represents 550+HCP/650. The confusing part is the race scoring screen for HCP system indicates PHRF tot and separately the 550/650 numbers to be used. For this to work, sailwave should use the TOD rating and the TOT factors to make the resulting TOT HCP multiply times the ET. It appears to be doing it twice. Ordinarily I would put in the TOD hcp on the competitor and the system would calculate the TOT and multiply that by the ET. But it doesn’t?
I’m in audit mode. It would be nice if the audit page showed its math.
Having had a quick look at the file Peter returned to you the main problem is that the A value should be in the B value box and vice versa. I acknowledge the corrected times are not exactly the same as in your screen image from a different results system. I will look at that later today.
One of the strengths of Sailwave is the ability to use Javescript to enhance the results. You can have scrolling results with a sponsor sidebar overlaid on random images displayed on smart TV’s. Your imagination is the limit. Many of us have spent time enhancing the view of the results.
