waterproof Lexan hatches offer easy access to your water toys, safety
gear, and anything else you may want to keep handy. The cockpit is

around dodger. All rigging lines lead into the cockpit and

Below Decks
This is where "Berkut" really shines, literally, with her light and
airy interior. The large windows and abundant ports invite the light
in. The bright maple and painted overhead evenly dispense the light
around the warm interior. Below decks is truly a wonderful place to
pass the time on those long passages in the open ocean or extended
stays at the dock.
Descending the gentle steps into the cabin area one will notice the
conveniently located head to port. The head features a stand-up stall
shower and all the other features you would expect from a fully
equipped bathroom. Access to the workshop is gained through the head
compartment. The workshop boasts a combo washer and dryer,
watermaker, panda generator with sound shield, and easy access to the
engine.
Immediately to starboard of the companionway is the guest stateroom.
This full size berth offers an abundance of space for a couple and a
great place to get some rest while making a passage. Large hanging
lockers, opening portholes (one into the cockpit), and a large soft
berth round out this superb stateroom.
The galley and the nav station are located just forward of the head
and guest stateroom. This area is slightly raised to provide
excellent visibility of the water in front of and beside you through
the large windows that surround your field of vision. The forward
facing nav station is well organized with all electronics within arms
reach. The wood inlay of a compass rose on the nav table is just one
example of this Waterlines fine craftsmanship. The galley is located
to port. Preparing meals while underway are simple tasks in this
gourmet galley. Again, The field of view is remarkable and allows one
to cook while enjoying the surrounding of your exotic port or while
underway. Top of the line appliances and an overabundance of cold
storage ensure great meals while sailing to far off destinations. The
counter tops are wide and abundant with twin stainless sinks.
Forward of the galley is the salon with large comfortable dinette and
settee. The dinette has ample room for 6 adults to eat. The large
table can accommodate a multi-course meal or a spirited card game
while passing time on a long passage. A TV/VCR with cable hookups can
be viewed from either the dinette or long settee located to
starboard. A built-in stereo with surround sound complete the salon.
All the upholstery is top quality Ultra-suede that is durable and
easy to clean.

hanging lockers are located on either side of the walk around queen.

Construction
The framework of "Berkut" is a hi-tech metal structure with a web of
transverse and longitudinal angles and flat bar constructed in the
form of an eggshell for superior strength and maximum interior
volume. The forward sail locker provides a watertight collision
bulkhead. Integral to the keel are baffled fuel tanks and a separate
lead ballast cavity. The exterior plating graduates from as light as
eleven gauge on the cabin top to as thick as one inch at the base of
the keel. This provides extreme strength at critical points and keeps
the center of gravity as low as possible. Areas of abrasion and
corrosion, such as bow rollers, chain plates, cockpit drains,
companionway track, stanchion posts and toe-rail bases are all
fabricated from stainless and welded to the steel hull and deck. All
of the pre-drilled hardware and track mounting points have stainless
steel acorn nuts welded underneath to provide a waterproof means of
attachment. These, combined with a welded hull/deck joint, leave you
free of the annoying leaks common in wooden and fiberglass boats.
The entire hull and deck is sandblasted inside and out. Then, a
sophisticated combination of zinc metallizing and cathodic coatings
are applied. All areas are completely covered with a schedule of
epoxy coatings to a 20 mil minimum thickness. The backside of the
frames are even hand brushed to assure adequate coverage. Then comes
the application of several inches of spray foam insulation. At this
point the interior is completely sealed, preventing any moisture
accumulating in areas difficult to maintain. A hi-gloss polyurethane
finish will give service equal or superior to other construction
mediums. The final result is a yacht that is both stunningly
beautiful and easy to maintain.
