Another Question

I was reading a previous post and got to thinking if it's possible to
score competitors not just on the basis of their Fleet designation but
also on the basis of their Division as well. For instance the Canadian
Masters Windsurfing Association would list all competitors under the
fleet designation as 'Masters', but would then subdivide the competitor
list into age groupings such
as 'Masters', 'Grandmasters', 'Olympians'... Just a thought.

Cheers,

Nick Cox

Hi Nick

When no-one replies to your queries, it usually means there isn’t anyone who is totally confident to give you definitive answer or the ‘expert’ on your query has missed the posting

Being in the former category, I have tried to reply below but please test thoroughly before using live data

In the Pro version (click ‘user interface’ in the toolbar) and tick multiple scoring systems

Click on ‘scoring systems’ in the toolbar and tick ‘show the fleets as well’

This is where I am not totally sure but I think from this point, you can set up a scoring system which will select ‘masters’ overall and score by the various fleets which you set up

As is usual with SW, the term ‘fleet’ can be changed to whatever column you chose, so in your case, you would have a masters column and then an additional column for age groupings

Hope this has pointed you in the right direction

Not sure about your other questions

Regards

Ralph

Nick,

Remember that Sailwave scores within each group, so the first finisher
in a group gets 1st place etc, not the position they finished on the
wtaer within the fleet as a whole.

Kind regards,
