Appendix A 8.2

ISAF have deleted Appendix a 8.2 tie break rule effective 1st June 2002.
You can turn this rule off in Sailwave via Edit+ScoringSystem - then go to
the SeriesScoring tab and untick the 8.2 box. You'll have to do this for
each series that you score that presently has it ticked.

Personally I would have liked to see it fixed rather than deleted.

Regards,
Colin

Dear Colin et al
Recently I joined SailWave group on behalf of
Whitstable Yacht Club. I now find I am inundated with
the SailWave Group mail, much of which is not of
interest to a beginner getting to grips with basics of
a very comprehensive piece of software. I wonder if
you would consider using a "forum" type of approach,
with linked messages on each topic rather than the
current overwhelming deluge in time sequence which is
mixed up with all the other stuff we get. If you are
not familiar with forums visit merlinrocket.co.uk and
see the forum there. The webmaster of that site can
steer you in the direction of the software and
services he uses if you want to know more.
Thanks
Mike Fitzpatrick

Mike,

Colin is well aware of the 'forum' approach and has already suggested this
and the majority prefer the 'push' of e-mails rather than have to go looking
for information. He did in fact set up a very nice 'forum' facility.

In case you had not noticed the information in the footer of all these
messages

Convert to daily digest of emails send blank email to:
sailwave-digest@yahoogroups.com

This might be an alternative for you; it would change your subscription to
this e-mail group so that you only get one message per day containing all
the messages sent that day.

Mike,

If you go into <edit my membership> on the top right you can
select "no e mail" and then just visit the group and view messages on
line when your in the mood etc. If you select <messages> in the left
column you have an option to select threaded or dated messages up on
the top right.
