Automated Process: data from sailwave onto website

Hi,

I am looking for guidance on how to automate the process so that the
Race Officer can export the Race results from sailwave directly onto
the website. The RO does not need to do any pasting, copying, open
website, paste, upload, format etc etc etc

What I am after is a single process that will all do it auto maybe via
FTP or anything else.

Thanks for any help

Eddie,

On the sailwave menu click on Publish. Experiment to find the most suitable layout I use Blue Blocks, and then publish, then next. When you have the published results in the screen click file in the menu bar; click on send to and then link to the website address, just
like that!

Cheers,
Geoff

Go to Setup/Global Options/FTP and put in your server name, userid
and password. Then when you publish, specify to website instead of to browser
and when you publish the results will go directly to your website.

Sailwave has a feature that will publish to a website directly under Global Options. See screen shot below

When I export a series summary to the windows clipboard, copy it to EXCEL, make some mass changes and then import the CSV file into SailWave, all the alias information is lost.

Anyway of getting around this problem? With 50 aliases in a regatta it is a real pain to have to reenter them all !!

Ill sort it out. Concentrating on work for a bit

  • will get back to Sailwave very soon…
