Hi,
I'm new to sailwave and have no trouble using it for 'over-the-line'
results or for single yardstick/handicap/ratings events.
However, we run a handicap (rating) system within classes which
updates the competitor's rating after each race of the season. Using
c=e*r, all competitors start the season on r=1. After one race, the
rating is calculated for each competitor and then this rating is used
for the next race. In subsequent races, the average rating from
previous races is used.
Is there any way that Sailwave can do this calculation for me?... or
can anyone suggest a better way to do this?
Currently I'm using an excel spreadsheet to work out the new ratings
each race and plugging that rating into sailwave to get a handicap
result. Very time consuming.
