Beginner - Definition of finish codes

I would appreciate guideance.

Our club BTYC Sailsports has no experienced users. Using the help and
web help I have been unable to find any defintion of finish codes
some appear obvious eg DNS but others are unrecognisable eg RAF.

Are these codes defined somewhere if so please indicate where I could
find the definitions else could someone define them for me?

Try the buuton "Scoring system" and click "Scoring Codes", and you'll be amazed!

I'll recomend an exploration of all functions you can find in the "Scoring system" window.

Welcome as a Sailwave user!

There are two abbreviations that are listed in the scoring codes,
that are not defined in the racing rules: OOD and BYE. What are
these abbreviations?

OOD is to give someone a result & points score
for running a race (as Officer Of the Day). I suspect that BYE has
something to do with match racing?

If my memory serves me right BYE is for points added "by hand"

Somebody needed a code to give sailors a bye (i.e. did not sail) when the
number of heats/flighst was odd - or something like that. I thought it was
a good idea and put it in the factory set. Probably not much use to be
honest and best deleted. I need to add a description field to the codes...

Colin
