Elena,
I suggest you have a look at the sailwave guide at http://www.sailwave.com/download/sailwave/Sailwave_ABYC_User_Guide.pdf
as a start as it does have section on what you would like help
with.
I happy to help you though.
Kind regards,

Thank you for your prompt answer- it was really helpfull !!
One last question- I had to score 4 flights and at the final series I scored by flight and it was perfect.
However in the end of the day I need at the results the first of the second flight to be the next of the last athlete of the first flight. For instance if the last of the gold flight is 65th , i need the first of the silver flight to be 66th
( i do not care for the total points, nett)
Is that possible?
Thank you in advance!!

Hi Elena,
Short answer is yes!
You can after scoring but before publishing use the Tools - Seed competitor field
Example is shown below
Then you can publish - just remember when you re-score this will be lost

Hello,
Some small questions.
I have two devisions depended on the age
2002-2005 open
2006-2009 cadet
Is it possible to edit the birthdate and have the division cell filled? Is it possible if I fill in that someone was born in 2001 to be informed that I can not register him?
Is it possible to sort on by a whole date of birth e.g. 01/03/2009?
And something more-i can not export the series to windows clipboard. I work with windows 10.
Thank you in advance

Hello Elena,
Apologies for slow response but I have been out all day.
Taking your questions in order:
No it is not possible to edit birth date and have division cell
filled in directly in Sailwave. I would do all this in a
spreadsheet before creating a CSV file to import into Sailwave.
However, if you have all the birth dates in Sailwave in YYYY-MM-DD
format you could use the Set Competitor field functionality and
choose all birth dates between 2001-01-01 and 2005-12-31 and set
division to Open; then choose all birth dates between 2006-01-01
and 2009-12-31 and set division to Cadet. Then any division field
that is blank is either to old or to young.
Yes it is possible to sort on whole birth date but only if birth
date in YYYY-MM-DD format to get the sort order correct.
Getting information to t he windows clip board is achieved by
clicking File menu and selecting option “Export series summary to
clip board” and this will copy all columns visible on the screen
to the windows clipboard.
In publishing sponsors names do you want the corporate logos or
just their company names? in the case of the former I suggest that
you get a composite image created of all the logos an example of
something I did can be seen at
at the bottom of the page. Which ever you want to do can be
achieved by editing the footer.htm file in the Sailwave Templates
folder. Note - that if you do edit this file it will be used for
all Sailwave events files you create unless you reset to the
default file. So I suggest that you make a copy of footer.htm
before editing to make changes that you desire. If you would like
I can help you in more detail.
Kind regards,
Huw

Hi Elena,
I use Windows 10 and my version has a clipboard. Try following my
earlier instructions for putting Sailwave data on the clipboard
and then opening a new spreadsheet and click in cell A1 followed
by holding down the Control key [frequently labelled CTL] and
whilst holding down press the V key. This works for me.

In publishing sponsors names do you want the corporate logos or
just their company names? in the case of the former I suggest that
you get a composite image created of all the logos an example of
something I did can be seen at
http://sailwave.com/results/ rsx/2016%20Youth%20Worlds/ results-men.htm
at the bottom of the page.
Kind regards,
Huw

Hi Elena,
Short answer is yes!
You can after scoring but before
publishing use the Tools - Seed competitor
field
Example is shown below
Then you can publish - just remember when
you re-score this will be lost

Hi Elena - It is because Sailwave is adding the header to each table so that it will get printed with each table.
I personally use the included program SWCList to print the Flight assignments at the events that I score as it also gives a count total for each flight.
