I am demoing SW for use at my club and am having problems with the
following. We race several fleets of different types of boats in the
same series. Some are handicap, some not. Each fleet has a different
start time. They all finish across a club line, past the race hut and
computer, and are usually mixed up.
We need to enter results by sail no and finish time only -directly
into computer.
I have set SW using Fleets, but when I do the finish by sail no, I
find it assumes all fleets start at the same time. This means editing
the start time for all boats not in the first fleet to be finished: Is
there a way to pre-enter the starting time for each fleet.
It will be also the same for every race in a 9 race series unless a
recall or other delay.
Any advice appreciated

Hi Mike
We have nine starts at our Club every Saturday and use Sailwave very successfully. You have to right click the heading of race 1 column and enter your start times, fleet for each start etc Click new nine times and then edit them accordingly. You can also use the flight column to get different combinations. You will also need to edit scoring rules as well.
I hope this helps
regards
Wayne Nolan

Hi Mike,
Wayne has pointed you in the right direction. You need to define s start records (in Edit+Race) for each groups of boats that you with to have some common elements like start time and/or finishing tyle (alsped/place/finish time) - having done that the sail number wizard can deduce useful defaults to prsent to you - it also means that the sail numbers can be entered in a any order - i.e. with starts jumbled up if necessary. Suggest you use the latest 1.58 beta version.
