better interface

it would be nice if there was an easier interface so people canclubs
the racers can enter there details directly into the program itself as
a way of signing on method. So all the race officer has to do is print
of the list of baots and then input the times for hanicap boats or just
there positions at the end of the race. This would save the race
officer having to enter the data in about each boat. Saving a time
consuming way. There couls be a way for say a database of boats
registared at the clubto be on this list.

Try importing competitors via Excel - much quicker to get competitors etc into SW.
If you have the skills, pre-entry via your web site can then be easily converted to a spreadsheet
for importing.

It would be very cumbersome for the race officer to fill in a pre-printed sheet with times etc.
An easier approach is to list and enter the results into a spreadsheet and then import them into
SW - again much quicker than direct entry

Ralph

Hi David,

I've been thinking of adding a data entry wizard, but never considered
sailors uding it themselces - it's a great idea - all it needs is that the
close (etc)button is password protected, so Sailwave stays in input mode. I
would simply use another Sailwave file as the database. i.e. the sailor
would enter some info and if their details already existed, Sailwave could
stop it and populate the result of the fields.

In dev plan.
