I will be using Sailwave to score the 2002 season regattas for our
multihull sailing club. We are a multiple fleet club that usually has
4 or more fleets racing at each regatta. We have several members that
have more than one boat. Members have also been known to loan their
boats to other skippers for various reasons.
As suggested in this forum, I have created a data base regatta that I
intend to use as the basis for each of our nine regattas. The data
base file conatins about 100 boats. I plan to delete all boats that
are not competing in each regatta and then save the file as a new name
for that regatta. In a typical regatta, we will have 20 to 40 boats
racing so I will be deleting 60 to 80 boats for each regatta. The
Delete competitor window only lists the crew names. My file contains
many crew names several times, once for each boat that they race. Is
there any way that the Delete competitor window can be configured to
desplay more information or is that window hardwired in the software?
I would like to be able to see boat type & sail number in addition to
crew.
I would also like to be able to reconfigure the sail number selection
window to contain sail number and boat type. Our scoring sheets have
the sail number, boat type and finishing time for each boat. Is the
window user configurable or is it hardwired in the software?
Hi,
I think you must be using an old version(?) - later versions include the
boat names and sail number as well as the crew etc. v38 was uploaded
yesterday. Let me know if I've misdiagnosed and I'll sort it out. The
version number is available form the Help+About window. NB: I'm not sure
but I think that if you use the mail tool from within Sailwave itself - it
puts the version in the title...
