Hi all,
I am new to this superb program, so please excuse my lack of nowledge. Can you please tell me what rating system to use for a Trailable yacht regatta in Australia. The trailable yachts use a Class Basic Handicap System (CBH), which is used to multiply the elapsed time by the factor (which ranges from 0.560 to 0.725 for our regatta.
Thanks, Rob

I have used TCF which is fine, but I need
to add the rating for each entry instead of looking up a table in csv format
and picking the same.
I have the VY file setup to choose the Victorian
yardstick from, but how do I set up a csv file for AMS, TCC or TCF?
I am happy to create my own file, I just
need to get the program to view it. If I choose the show all files checkbox, I
get all the VY ratings which I don’t want

Are handicaps generic (per boat type) or customised (per boat, based on boat type with penalties and so on?)

IRC is under official (??? maybe should be updated) name RORC (Musto) IRC
I had some problems testing the import of ratings from a CSV-file. This worked wel in the past but something was lost in the evolution of Sailwave.
I found in the Global Options under _/ Importing _ the definition of the field delimiter and set it as ‘,’ as in my files, it’s now corrected.
But this work for generic handicaps with CSV file structure: system,Boat,DefaultValue and records like: TCF,CHALLENGER MICRO,0.6572
For customized ratings, like RORC IRC, the entry key should be the boat name or the sail number, best Nat letters + sail number + if needed boat name… or (missing) a new field “IRC certificate Nr” it would be so easy if each nation using IRC could publish own csv files, you put them in your rating files and they are directly linked with to the competitor form!
