I’ve searched through the FAQ but can’t see an answer
We are running a dinghy handicap series. A couple of the sailors keep changing to a boat with a different handicap.
If for example they had sailed 5 races in one boat then for the 6th changed to a boat with a different handicap as long as I had rescored after ever race and manually changed their boat for the 6th race would that be ok or would Sailwave calculate the results as though they had sailed every race in the boat of the 6th race?…….hope that makes sense!
In Sailwave you can change the handicap rating value on a per race basis if you want to and in your scenario seems to be appropriate. So if for example a competitor sailed races 1 to 5 in ILCA7 n(Laser Standard in old money) and then because it was strong winds sailed race 6 in an ILCA6 (Laser Radial old money), you can set the rating for race 6 to the rating for the ILCA6.
To open the above window double click the race cell for the competitor and set the rating for that race in highlighted box. Then click OK and re-score and that rating will be used for that race.
