Hi Folks -
Can you advise on flwg 'way to do it' problem -
Scenario is at finish of busy race, 10th boat to cross the line is
so keen to finish he nudges the Finish Mark, but being a very genuine
soul he goes back, does his turn & refinishes as 18th boat over the
line just behind a small group of other finishers.
The Race Team, being busy & at the other end of the line, don't see
much of this & think above boat finished 10th, & is
just 'socialising' with his mate who finished just in front when he
subsequently crosses the line a second time.
Ok, all ashore, results rapidly done in Sailwave (hooray!) &
published - THEN says your man "Oh, I was 17th really, NOT 10th
because I had to go back after hitting the Finish Mark!".
Results Officer is dragged from bar & set to work again ; ok, he can
change our sailors result from 10th to 17th ok BUT in this case he
cannot find any way to do things other than going through the
whole race again & changing each boats result in turn..............
and there were 97 Lasers in the race in question when I got rung up!
Is there an easier way to do this pls ?

Hi Pete,
The latest version of sailwave 1.43 beta4 has a tool to handle this; it's
currently a bit primitive but it will still save a lot of time...
Have a look at Edit+Positions.
Essentially it lets you push everybody up from a position to create a gap
and also pop everybody down from a position to close a gap.
So in your case you could have done it in 3 stages. 1. pop everybody from
11th down a place. 2. push everybody from 17th up a place. 3. set the
competitor in question to position 17.

It's simple. Load version 1.43b4
Then Edit, Edit Positions
Probably one of the best mods that Colin has done for a long time!
