Changing yachts

Can you change racing yachts in the middle of a series and continue to
score the competitor making the results the sum of the points from
racing both yachts?

According to RRS it is the boat that is competing not the skipper/helm/owner/person in charge. Different boat = different entry = different score.

However your SIs could modify this… but what if someone sails a Thames A rater in a flat calm then turns up in 420 when it’s howling?

You do it by changing the handicap used for the race to be correct. There is only one yacht though so it can look confusing.

When you enter times etc. there is an option to change the handicap used for that race.
