Hi, Can a .blw file created with v2.37 be updated by someone running v2.29 please? I realise the obvious solution is to upgrade the old version to 2.37, however it’s on a laptop on which we currently can’t uninstall or install any software at all. We’re working to address that, but in the meantime it would be very handy if we could continue updating our series results - which were created using 2.37 - on the old laptop that’s running 2.29.
Hi Andy,
Yes and No is the answer.
Yes the V2.29 will read the file from 2.37, but it will lose any new information stored in the blw.
One important thing is that 2.37 is the first version to support the RRS 2025-2028 and the flag to indicate it is using RRS 2025 is stored in the .blw
Any results you calculate with 2.29 would not be calculated according to RRS 2025
Regards
Jon
Thanks Jon, that’s useful info.
