Hi: When entering competitor data there is a line below "Fleet" called
"Division" I used this to classify the Opti fleet into Red, Blue, and
White. I didn't want it to show so unchecked view column on screen and
also for publish. When prize time came around I wanted to look at the
Divisions so I rechecked the boxes in "View," Rearrange Columns" to
see the column. But there was no Division to include or exclude. I
checked Sailwave on my other computers and they don't allow Division
to appear as a column.
However, if I set up a new series then Division does appear in
Rearrange Columns. What have I done wrong? I'm starting to feel really
slow. How do you get a Division column to be visible after you edit it
not to appear? I'm running 1.95 Build 11.
Next issue. Publishing. I like to use as big a font as possible and
turn the legal paper ( 8.8" x 14") to landscape. Even with this when
the pages are collated and taped together they are typically 2 metres
long for all results. Naturally, I divide this up into manageable
lengths for pinning up.
But, after the first table you lose the header which says Yacht Club,
Event, etc. Is there any way to get the event headers to print above
each fleet results table. What I currently do is print a couple of
tables at a time. This is time consuming because Sailwave ignores the
Word settings when it publishes to Word. This is an old bone of
contention of mine from years back so we wont go there.
Most people seem to be quite happy with publishing but I've never been
able to find out what they do. Maybe they are happy with 10 race
results spread across 8.5" in a tiny font. Dunno.
Thanks, Donald

i agree publishing needs enhancing - nb: sailwave knows nothign about
word or any other app - it generates html - apps make of it what they
will…
