Concerning the Poll

This sounds like a very retrograde question to ask but I will ask it
anyway! I like the ability to publish results via the internet for it
is very useful and simple, and perhaps almost all users use this
method. Windows comes with IE so design Sailwave for this. I take it
that this is the point of the poll?
However, I don't really care for I publish to paper 99% of the time.
So if Colin is beavering on 1.46 or 7 now, can anything be done to
make publishing easier? E.g. incorporate the ability to designate the
number of table rows to match paper sizes (or even screen size), and
my favourite, the ability to repeat column headers anywhere in the
tables. This would actually help internet publishers as well!
Automating as much of the presentation as possible means that there is
less chance of error as one spends 5 minutes per table using Word or
Excel while getting output to fit and look nice.
Now I realize that this may be out in left field and I am a minority
of one, so one person telling me I'm nuts will suffice!
Bye, Donald

Hi Donald,

If anybody is nuts around here I think it's me! You raise a valid point -
however the way I would like to handle is to start using the media control
properties of HTML - with these I believe that you can control how to
control page effects etc when HTML is printed etc. I still like the idea of
producing HTML (or XML)... I have a copy of ListandLabels here which I was
also thinking of plugging at some stage - this allows you to design your own
forms and then redirect to paper or PDF or email or... etc etc. leave it
with me.

Going to the pub now for my Birthday piss-up [and yes Chris the main topic
of conversation will be cat racing.. :-)] - I've been reading Frank
Bethwaite's book (High Performance Sailing) - it's awesome stuff...

Regards,
Colin
