The current software I’m using creates a CSV file with the time format of hrs:mins:secs:milliseconds yet Sailwave processes it as days:hrs:mins:seconds
I’ve had a good look at changing it via Excel and Sailwave and cant find a way around it
Help appreciated

Hi Matt,
Sailwave does indeed interpret hrs:mins:sec:millsecs as
days:hours:mins:secs as documented at
.
To get Sailwave to work you will need to get rid of the
milli-seconds by applying normal rounding rules before Sailwave
will calculate corrected time correctly. I have done a little
work in Excel and it does not like decimal seconds.
However, trying the same in LibreOffice Calc decimal seconds are
correctly dealt with when I multiply a time in HH.MM:SS.ms by
86400 [ the number of seconds in a day ]. I can then use the
standard rounding rules to convert to nearest whole second.
Personally I have issue with trying to time to less than a second
but that is a different debate.
Hope you find this useful.
Kind regards,
Huw
