Hi Tony or Colin
I score multiple fleets and occasionally I have duplicate sail numbers. When I import a race result file.csv file Sailwave will match sail number and import the finish time ... unless I have a duplicate sail number... which becomes a sailwave problem.
However, If I import the same csv file into a blank sailwave file... eg race 8 and then merge that file with my regatta sailwave file I can match sailnumber and boat name field and properly match the finish times to the two competitors in the two fleets
Is there any way to match two fields in the csv race result file import directly without going through the dummy blw file and then merging (which had troubles matching race numbers)
Thanks
Mark Schneider
My time logging program exports three fields
sail number, Name and Finish Time. I edit the csv file and add a race number column for the import into sailwave.

Hi Anders
Yes, you always need to hit Guess to get all the fields lined up.

Her are some files: But "I see the light" that fixes it.... . the guess button.
But it does not remember the field for the next race.

Surely you need to edit in the Boat Class or Helm Name into the csv file before import to Sailwave? So then Sailwave has a decent chance of handling the duplicate sail numbers.
Do you enter results into your logging programme, or do you use it's timing features? I ask cos I've written my own entry programme to allow me to import the same results into two series. I've been meaning to add timing to it, but haven't yet.
cheers
Tony
