As a new user I have problems implementing a custom high point scoring
system. Can anyone tell me how to do ..? Our point system can be seen
under files 'X99 Hi Pt System'
Click Setup > Scoring Systems. In the window that appears there will likely be "default scoring system". Highlight it and click the "edit" button. At the top of the new window, there's a box where you can change the scoring system name. For the scoring I've been doing, I used the name "Low Point Reversed".
The first tab on the Scoring system window is "Race Scoring". Click the bottom most check off for "custom high point'. Apologies in advance, as I'm guessing you have probably gotten that far already
The part that I found difficult was how to create the formula!! If you hover your cursor over the formula box, a list of formula options will come up. I used a graphics program to do a screen capture..... not sure if this list will allow me to send it!

Thank you, so far. The problem is, that I don't know the formula,
and since I'm not a mathematician, I've had a hard time trying to
calculate it
so far without luck.
So my question is : is it possible to implement an excel file as the
one I uploaded: X99 Hi Pt System ..?
And how ..?
I should mention i run the latest version Sailwave - just downloaded
it today.

Hi, Colin
It just explains the table: 'As the table shows, if 4 boats
participate, boat no. 1 will have 4 points, while boat no. 4 will
have 1 point. If there are 10 participants, boat no. 1 will have 5.2
points, while boat no. 8,9 and 10 will have 1 point each'.
DNF = DSQ = 1 point, DNC = 0 point. The system has of course the
same rationale,as the Austrian system, and is siimilar, though not
the same. We are a small fleet, and it is rare that more than 10
boats compete in one race. If so, the system just continues onwards
(same as from 9 to 10 participants).
So my problem is that I dont know the formula. Can I somehow
incorporate this scoring system into SailWave?
Jesper
Thanks Anders, What is that bit on the web site under the table

Hi Jesper,
The custom facility needs extending to be able to specify a matrix as
opposed to a single list/vector. It's on the todo list now.
