NB: the idea of scripting is to make Sailwave extensible. i.e. so that
clubs can get their tech guy/friend to write a script to implement their
particular scoring varient, or to produce a very specific report etc etc.
It means I can cancentrate on getting a neat core set of functionality and
data structures with everything else being scripts. I am also hoping that
some SUG members will become experts and help others. We have just used Lua
www.lua.org to do the same thing at work and it works really well. Users
can write scripts and write new windows with forms in to collect data etc.
Essentially extend the functionality of an existing application.
