Im am new to Sailwave and trying to set up the program to Track our clubs sailing each week.
My first need is We have 4 divisions starting on an 8 minute start sequence. How do I set this up so it is reflected in the race time. Start count down- 8m - D1 at 7m D2 at 5m D3 AT 4m D4 at 0m -Time starts to count up.?

Welcome to the Sailwave User Group. Out of interest where is your club located in the world?
To answer your question, right-click race column header and select ‘Edit race’. Now create 4 starts, one for each division using finish time option NOT elapsed time. In the box alongside start time for each division put
000700 for D1
000500 for D2
000400 for D3
000000 for D4
I hope that makes sense.

If you click Menu - Edit - Edit Race and then select the Race that is you wish to edit
You can then use the Edit and New to the right to specify the starting times and how you will record their results

Another question can I default this for all future races?

In my previous email in the image there is a box marked copy starts
You can copy the starts from any race to other races
Additionally if you add a new race it will automatically use the starts from the last race - you can of course edit these if they are different
