Hi Geoff, et al.
I'll tweak things so thap laps can be fractional; I think that's a
straightforward approach that is useful and manageable my end.

Colin,
We have this problem at our club, particularly when short of Race Officers
and therefore not practical to have a committee finish for full laps.
It would be better to have a "near-enough" result using fractional laps as
you suggested and "volunteered", particularly for our less serious evening
races.
For the 5.5 laps problem can entering 55 laps be a solution as it the
averages that counts ?

Broxbourne Sailing Club.
BTW I tried to send this as a "reply" in Outlook Express" but it kept
bouncing.
Please also note I am now also on broadband but have bee running OE stil
as the former does not always connest,
Best Regards,
Geoff Town

Hello Colin,
Your suggestion for handling the problem sounds ideal to me. Can
you just give me an idea of timescale for the addition of fractional
lap functionality.
Thanks,
Jon
