Dear All,
I am trying to set up a series in Sailwave (version 2.02 Build6).
The series has a qualification and a final series, no medal race.
6 qualification races and 14 final races are scheduled. I need to set up a profile, that in case 4 qualification races have been sailed 1 discard is allowed. So far absolutely no problem.
If 4 or more final races have been sailed there is one discrad from the finals (without touching the qualification results.) This is where my problem comes:
If I set the discard profile in the “standard” tab, it calculates the discrads from both qulaification and finals. If I set the discard profile in the Addendum LE tab, it does nothing, no matter how I set it.
Does anyone have any idea what am I missing?

Can I clarify what you are looking for
Maximum of 2 discards in total
1 discard only maximum from Q-series but only after 4 or more races
completed in Q-series
1 discard only maximum from F-series but only after 4 or more races
completed in F-series
This is similar to the Laser Worlds way of scoring so I think what
you need is the following
Series scoring tab 'Discard profile' 0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,2
AppLE Addendum C tab 'Max number of discards allowed in finals'
0,0,0,1
If you think it will help, if you a want to attach your file I will
take a look at it.

That is exactly what I want to do, you get it right!
I have tried these settings, but this is not working for me for some reason. I might have something ticked which is not supposed to be

Peter,
Unfortunately having reviewed my thinking it is not possible to do
what you are looking for in one Sailwave file. If you split the
Sailwave file into 2 separate files you can get the result you are
looking for. This does not show in one printout the results from all
races sailed be they in the Q-series or F-series.
I have created a Q-series file only and an F-series file only by
deleting the race results of the F-series in the file you sent, then
creating an F-series by importing the the competitor data from the
Q-series together with the Net points from the Q-series into the
competitor field ‘Carried forward points’ on the Audit tab of
competitor information (in the attached file petersuleF.blw this
column is visible)
I have also attached a new Q-series only file.
Hope this is useful and sorry again I was wrong in my initial
response that I thought that it could be done.
