We had a race last week where only a couple of boats finished. Some retired, some just went home. The display shows the DNF and RET boats in what seems to be random order. I would prefer to list them with RET → sail number or boat name followed by DNF → sail number or similar. Any ideas how to do this?

Strictly speaking, what it displays is correct as the ranking of DNF and RET is identical
One quick solution would be to use the TablesorterRace effect and then PC sort on Rank and then on the Elapsed column, which would sort them alphabetically.
Then publish it as a PDF so people can’t change it.
The other alternative, if you want, is to write an Effect that would sort them, and you could then specify the codes that you want in the order that you want
Don’t forget there could be other codes such as DNC, DNS, and NSC as examples
