Is there a way in which you can alter the average points system for a Duty RO etc. Our club uses the system whereby average points are worked out for ALL races not sailed, whether they be DNS, DNC etc. Some clubs use a system whereby only races actually sailed are calculated as part of an average score.
I suppose what I’m trying to say is how many different ways are there of scoring for people that are Duty on any particular race/event?

Hi Brian,
Using the Scoring System - Scoring codes you can change how all the codes are calculated
Below the OOD code is the average for all races
you could change it to average of non-DNC races
but I think you want the first one.

Brian, look at the bottom of the results, says sailwave, nice colouring though.

The value given to the leading competitor in the Bough beech
series for OOD is 1.2 which is the rounded up average of the
non-discarded races:
(2+1+1+1+1+1)/6 = 1.166666 which rounded upis 1.2
