Elapsed Time/Corrected Time Format

Hi,

It’s been a bit quiet on here recently, I guess everyone’s gone on holiday

We record our race results as Elapsed Time in seconds (kindly provided by the race computer that someone built to manage the race start etc). When we publish the results we like to include the Corrected Time column so that people know how close (or not) they were. Unfortunately, this shows the Elapsed Time in seconds and the Corrected Time in h:m:s. Not great without a calculator to correlate the two.

Is there a setting that we can change so that we can have a consistent display, either both as h:m:s or just as seconds?

Many thanks

Jon Wills

No one else responded - must be on holiday or scoring somewhere.

I set up a test series, using seconds and confirm what you see. I

also don’t see anyway of fixing this.

Looks like it might be Jon to provide an answer or a method.

Hi Malcolm,

Thank you for having a check and confirming. It’s nice to know that I’m not completely mad  (yet).

Hi,

In delving a bit deeper I’m sure I can’t find a way to unify the time displays, but I’ve also found another conundrum:

I can’t correlate the corrected time that gets offered in the Race Results. I have a competitor with a PY of 332 and a elapsed time of 5353 seconds who did 5 laps. Sailwave offers a corrected time of 1:37:20. I can’t get that number out of my manual spreadsheet, no matter how I manipulate the results. We agree with the final finishing positions but not the corrected times.

What is the calculation that Sailwave makes to achieve the Corrected Time?

Cheers

Jon
