Emailed .blw files

Hi All
I'm a bit of a Sailwave novice but using it fine since January for everyday series scoring and recording using version 2.00 build 1.
With holidays approaching I wanted to pass some partially completed series as .blw files to a colleague so that she could carry on the scoring.
She downloaded the most recent version of Sailwave and tried to open the files but got "access denied".
Any advice please.

John,

This sounds more like an operating system problem than Sailwave. More information need please. What computing environment is the message being displayed from?

Windows (Vista, XP, 2000)
Has the email been download by one user on the PC in question and the attachment saved with the user who is getting the message being a different user.

Kind regards,
Huw

I suspect the file is read-only. Sailwave displays that error when that
happens.
Get them to save the file somewhere then from Windows Explorer (or
similar) Select Properties from the Right Mouse Button Menu then
un-check the readonly check box.

Hi John,

Has your colleague checked the .blw file properties for read / write attribute permissions?
