I encountered what I think may be a bit of a glitch entering finish times in version 3.1. In auto mode (box ticked) the default start time is taken from the start time entered for that race in the edit race option. This is very useful but beware - the format used for example a 2.30 pm start time must not be 14:30 it must be 14-30 - incorrect format causes an incorrect calculation of elapsed time. Make certain you use the correct format when setting the start time in the edit race option as this is then carried over into the result entry. Would it be possible Colin to force the user to enter in the correct format to prevent this rather easy error from being possible (e g have the - always there or, separate boxes for hours and mins in the edit race option)?

I’ve recently done a tweak that allows use of : / . or - as the separator which should fix the problem. Not uploaded. Will be part of 3.2. I can easily extend this list of chars if anybody thinks others would be useful.

How about allowing the time separation character to be chosen by the user as part of their “Global Options”?
