Entering Results into SailNum Wizard

We are doing a two fleet series and for some reason, when scoring the races between the fleets, they
are being treated as one big fleet. Was wondering what setting am I missing so when I enter a boat
from one fleet, it will give the place for that fleet. Right now, I enter the races for the first
fleet. When I start on the other fleet, the place is n+1 (If there were 4 boats competing in the
first fleet, then the first boat I enter in the second fleet is getting a 5th. I seem to remember
that the fleets could be separated. I am using 1.57

In 'edit competitor' where you tab down to class, enter name of fleet/class
boat is in. when you have entered results via sailnum wizard, click score
fleets and they should be scored separately.
Hope this helps.

I understand what you mean, but I thought in previous versions, if I entered the sail number of one
fleet then entered the sail number of another fleet, they would show their respective places.

We have the following boats: 31,32,33,34,35,36 in the first fleet and
01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14 in the second fleet. If I entered 32 into the Sail Num
Wizard, it defaults to 1st place, if I enter 31, it defaults to 2nd place. If I then entered 11,
then it defaults to 3rd place and not 1st place in the second fleet. I thought in previous versions
it remembered which boat was in which fleet and would default to the place they entered in. We have
split starts, the first fleet goes off first and then the second fleet goes off 3 minutes later. If
it still works, then I have set something up wrong. I have gone into Fleets and entered the two
fleets with their defaults. Then I went into each competitor and assigned each of the competitors to
their respective fleets. Now, I have to manually enter the place number overriding the default that
it comes up with.

If you go ahead and enter each boat's place as they cross the
finishing line (without regard to their fleet), then hit the "Score
Fleets" button, doesn't it then rescore by fleet?

Chip

Unfortunately, this is usually done on land thus I am transcribing the results of each fleet (who
came in first, second, third, etc in the first fleet then who came in first, second, third in the
second fleet for a particular race) in the comforts of a warm room. Is that the only way to do it?
To just score them as the defaults and when you score the Fleets it will adjust the scores to 1st,
2nd and 3rd?

Doh! I was trying to do everything in the same Start. Saying Fleet A or Fleet B. Once I figured
out that I needed to put in two separate entries, things are working as expected. Keep up the good
