Entering same code for the same race

Hello,
Is there a way to enter the same code IN ONE STEP for all competitors ?
We race once a week and races got canceled either because of storm or
not enough wind (yes, lake sailing is not always as we could wish it).

Thanks for tips to ease my job

Good question...

I develop further, longcoastal race in light airs, 4 boatsout of 150 finish withn time limit. Very common for my friend Tonio in Dover Strait Race... except that happily there are not 150 entries.

I'd like to make a bulk entry like "all except A, F, Q and Y to be scored as DNF"
Easier, set all to DNF and give a place, elapsed time or finish time to A, F, Q and Y

The module Tools > Set competitor field could be useful, but does not give access to the race results.

Could be a further option in this module, a tick box "set race fields", then thesefieldsappear on the list...

Hi Rene

I understand what you are asking for & I some cases this would be really helpful

However, I am not sure if you are applying the rules correctly for your problem

Rule 89.3 (a) states that races will only be scored if they are completed, so if the race does not start or it is abandoned, there is no race to score

ISAF also released Q&A 08-001 http://www.sailing.org/23297.php to clarify this rule

In your case, it sounds as though you are club racing over a number of weeks

The outcome of not racing would therefore be that you sail less races in the series, unless your SIs clearly identify race numbers each day

In Sailwave, you would not leave a race column as blank but just enter results as each race is completed, irrespective of when it was sailed

I appreciate that sometimes, races are connected to days for the awarding special prizes for that race but it is normal now to simply say in the SIs that there will be n races per day rather stating the race numbers

Regards

Ralph

Greenwich Yacht Club in London is running the Annual RYA London Regatta on
Sunday the 28th

We are looking for somebody with good idea of how to handle a race in
Sailwave to come and work in the race hut entering results during the event.
(I was supposed to do this but unfortunately I can not make it on this day)
We do not feel we have anybody else in the club suitably experienced to do
this in Sailwave.

Anybody interested in doing this will also need their own laptop with
Sailwave already pre-installed to capture results on the day.

If anybody is interested in doing this, please contact Lionel
a7clionelw@aol.com

For more details about the event please see
