error 0

Every time I try and upload results to the Sailwave website I get an Error 0 message. I am new to sailwave. Can anybody help?

Hi, when had this problem it cam down to the firewall blocking outbound connections, (I think it was Norton firewall, the default for the program was not enough I had to allow customer settings. Try turning off you firewall and testing again.

There were more suggestions in case its not the firewall here.

Welcome to Sailwave

Error 0 is normally because it can’t connect to the server. Most likely cause is your firewall is blocking Sailwave from accessing the internet

Hi,

Like others, we had a case a while ago where Error 0 was caused by firewall settings which we resolved.

More recently, we started getting Error 0 uploading to our website regardless of where we uploaded from (multiple machines, multiple locations). Nothing changed on the client machine so I am sure something must have changed with our web hosts but I have not managed to work out what. FTP still works manually with the same settings, it is just Sailwave that has problems.

We are working around it for now by uploading to a different server and rsync-ing across but it would be interesting to hear if others have similar problems which cannot be explained by firewalls.
