I couldn’t see NCD on the ISAF site http://www.sailing.org/raceofficials/eventorganizers/mna_codes.php as being a valid code.

Hi Marcus & Jon,
Both ISO & FIFA 3-character code for New Caledonia is NCL. So
with respect, as IOC & WS do not have a 3-character country
code for New Caledonia I suggest go with ISO & FIFA.

no it isnt – same as cape verde I think, but for regional championships the french territories would be helpful…
Does it hurt to have it ? doesn’t need to be in the drop-down… just for manual input ?

I’ve put the New Caledonia flag that you supplied (resized) both big and small on the Sailwave server under NCL if you would like to test it and check it is all OK for you.
If anyone has a special requirement for flags they can always host the flags on their own server and change the URL in the Series properties

I have been thinking about moving the flags to own server, but I have not found a flag set with the World Sailing three letter country codes… could you put all the flags into one zip file and share it ? Then we can base any regional flag additions on it.
