I'm using v195 b12 and Publish to a website stopped working abruptly. When I publish to our site, I get the successfully connected messsage followed by the failed to upload message. The file I tried to upload is on the website but it's size is zero bytes. I have rebooted, restarted Sailwave and even reinstalled Sailwave but nothing helps. I installed Sailwave on another computer using the same install file and then moved the blw file to that computer and everyhting works. So I know it isn't Sailwave itself and the blw file is fine, but is there some Sailwave settings in the Windows registry that may have been corrupted and are surviving the uninstall/reinstall process so that it will never work? If so can anyone help me to fix/remove those entries. Any other ideas? The broken computer is my laptop that I carry to the club and do the posting there so the fact that it works on another computer at home is of little value. THANKS.
Probably a silly question, but have you tried publishing to a file on your laptop? Then you can check the filesize, and open the file locally.
If that is OK then I guess the problem is not with Sailwave, but with your FTP software. I use FileZilla, a free download which is easy to use.
I always keep the published html file on my laptop, then ftp to our website when I get home, as I don't have access at the club.
I can then, bar permitting, print off the results for the noticeboard whilst most competitors are still there.

I
did publish to a file and uploaded with FileZilla and it worked.
But that means an extra step and a second program. For a few years now, I
have been publishing to a website directly from Sailwave either from home or
from a wireless connection at the club. It is very easy and I can usually
get the scores on the web and still get to the bar in plenty of time.
Since
my first note, I have edited the windows registry and removed EVERY reference
to Sailwave and then upgraded to Sailwave V200 Build 4 and I still have the
same result. Internet Explorer is working fine, FileZilla is working
fine, but Sailwave can’t seem to upload from this computer. Any
other ideas, anyone, please???

Will,
Version 2.00 build 5 which I just iuploaded fixes the ftp problems WTY
sending files to Sailwave and checking for updates. But FTP to your
own site should be fine - seems OK here.
Have you checked in the global options that the FTP account and
password are correct…? It is now logging into a different folder
than it used to? (can happen if you change the server config) - log in
using a visual FTP client like coreftp (free0 and wee where it logs in
- it may needa folder spec prefix…?

Try version 2.00 build 6 - latest upload.
If you use webfusion as your service provider your ftp uploads would
have stopped working a while ago - they reset all the passwords because
(the evidence is ) they were all compromised. Which is why check for
updates and publish to Sailwave also stopped working.
Otherwise publish to website should work OK. I did screw it up in
2.00 build 5 but only in that build.
Log into your ftp account using a visual FTP client like the free
coreftp (which I like and use) and note the folder it logs you in to.
Your server configuration may mean that has changed. For example when
I log into our club site it logs straight into the root and to get to
the results folder I have to use a prefix of public_html/results/ on
the filename I choose to upload in Sailwave - e.g public_html/results/dartgp2009.htm.
