FTP uploads to your club web sites

A few users have asked for options to upload straight to their web site with
the passwords embedded into Sailwave so that anybody can handle the upload
process. The only problem with this is that any Sailwave users (all over
the world) could upload to your site as well!

I have two proposals.

1.

If you want this feature you email me with a club password - not your FTP
password - something that's embedded into Sailwave.
You tell your club members the password.
You use the feature - I can make the password prepopulate on any machine
once it's been used once etc.

I will have to upload a new version before you can use it.

2.

I add a facility such that you can define upload sites in an ini file on
your club computer and they appear in a list in Sailwave.

I don't really mind which one we take (or another); there are pros and cons
with each.

Any opinions?

Colin J

I think it's got to be option 2.

I too think it have to be 2.

But I'm not sure..... Today I have to change filename to upload, if I change between let say, competitor list and results.... I don't like that: When publishin competitor list, and defining filename + user/pw - Sailwave should have "remembered" that, so when I later should publish results, Sailwave should then asked me for a new filename/cataloge... Maybe event properties ??

Well, then I could create a username/password ekstra on my website for the users on a special event, wich was given extra rights on that files/map structure....

Something like that; So no.2 would made it easy for those users to find "their" event !
