German Language Tool ?

Did somebody know if it is possible, to get a German Laguage tool for
sailwave ??

I try to form scoreplan for 37 ships, wich should sail in 4 Divisions
and the first 3 of the devisions should sail tje finals of 6 new Races.
But at this tim i have to do a new scoreplan for the finals, anf i
can´t import automaticly the qualified competitors :frowning:

For any answer i will say Thank.

Best Regards

Alex

Alex,

Firstly welcome to the Sailwave forum.

Currently there is no ‘translation’ of Sailwave into German. Other languages are available such as Chinese, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Romanian. The way Sailwave handles languages other than English is via locale files, instructions are available in the help file for Sailwave locales section. I am sure others on the group who have created a locale file for their language will come to you your assistance if you need it after reading the information in the help file.

If I can be of assistance in helping you set up what you need, please ask. Warning I do not speak German :frowning: but can get very good help

Kind regards,

Huw

Hi Alex,
a couple of month ago I have started to translate the english locale
file into german. Unfortunately I must admit that there is still a lot
of work to do, since I had not the time to finish the translation.
So if you like to continue my work, I can send you the partly
translated locale file.

Hi Alex

If I understand your email correctly, first I would

  • set up a single series file for the ‘Qualifying’ races

  • create starts for each fleet/division

  • enter results & score by fleet/division to get 4 sets of results.

Then for the ‘Finals’ I would

  • save the Qualifying file as a new file & call it ‘Finals’

  • delete the competitors who finished 4th or worse in each fleet/division

  • delete the results for the Qualifying races (change the number of races to 6 if different)

  • enter any different scoring system for the Finals

  • enter results & score by fleet/division

I have assumed that:

  • scores from Qualifying are not carried forward to the Finals

  • the boats that do not Qualify for the Finals do not sail again

If non-qualifiers sail in a different series, simply save the Qualifying file as another name & this time delete the top three boats from each fleet/division

Hope this helps

If not please send another question

Ralph
