Hi Colin,
in the meantime I have checked our little problem on different Windows
versions. Here are the results.
Letting Sailwave filling up an empty xxx.ini file on a Win98SE system
, truncation occurs after:
[WinImportCSVResults]
TAB:Map=Map
My editor tells me that xxx.ini has a size of 65499 bytes!
Maybe a int/long problem?
When I do the same on a WinXP system, the export seems to be complete.
At least the [Series] section is there.
Btw, is [Series] the last section Sailwave writes to that file?
The size of the file is 76120 bytes.
Then I have done some translations to the [Series] section of that
file generated under XP and restarted Sailwave. But the translated
strings are still appearing in english. Modifications to the section
prior to [Series], that is [WinSaveTeamToHTML], are Ok.
Any idea what that could be?
Regards
Harald
Hi Harald,
I have just checked and Win98 (and pre win98) does have a 64k limit on ini
files; I didn't know that!! Crazy. I'll have to change the whole thing to a
DIY system; I've made it my highest priority. See the dev plan on the
download page of the web site.
Re: the [series] strings: I don't have any answers I'm afraid. Lets jump to
the DIY scheme and then readdress it. You could try posting a message in
the Swedidh Sailwave User group - Anders seems to have good success with his
Swedish locales - he may have some tips as an experienced user...
We'll get there...
Apologies for the inconvenience...
Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,
that's Ok for me.
In the scandinavian discussion group I have found a danish locale
which shows the same behavior as mine. And the official swedish locale
from the Sailwave homepage has the same problem with the [Series]
window. Everything in english, except the entries in the, then
splitted, file menu.
Seems so that after the split everything is set to its default
language string.
Good Luck
Harald

Hi Harald,
OK, so basically locales don't work! Thanks for your experiments. I'll fix
ASAP.
