Getting started

Dear Simon,
Thanks for your E-mail.
I am from a family orientated sailing on Sydney Harbour called Dobroyd Aquatic Club. We are using a very old local program at present and are looking to upgrade to a program that can export our weekly results to our website (that is also still under construction) thus the interest in sailwave.
I was hoping you could answer some preliminary questions.

We run 4 different starts for different classes, on class is the odds and ends - open class with 4 different boats sailing together. The other starts are all uniform classes of about 20 boats each.
- we use the VYC yardsticks which I think I have worked out
- we also run handicap and sctatch results, does sailwave work out handicaps or do we have to write our own ratings file?
- every fourth race is what we call a club championship, thus this race has to be included in the normal pointscore and also a second series that is just a scratch result, can sailwave export the scratch result to another "series" ie the club championship so that we don't have to enter the data twice.
- I note one of your links is to a program called raceday, is anyone using this with results directly into sailwave? It would save heaps of time!

Sorry for all the questions but our season starts in 4 weeks
Thanks
Neil Street
