Handicap formula for ASPN

Handicap formula for ASPN

I am form Chester NS in Canada, in one of Atlantic Provinces.
We have had a handicap system for years in the Atlantic Provinces
called ASPN. To get our corrected time we times our elapsed time by
ASPN rating and then divide by 100. This get us our time on time
corrected time. This formula e*r/100 is different form every one. Is
there going to be more handicap formulas added to the program or away
of changing the formula so that we might be able to use it for
handicap racing here.

Hi Finlay(?),

Within the next could of releases the handicap systems will become
completely user configurable in that you'll be able to add your own. For
now as Mark says, either use the custom rating system and enter the
appropriate expressions (and change the rating column title to ASPN) or use
one of the equivalent rating systems - hover the mouse of the system name to
see the formula (and change the rating column title). There are not side
effects when using systems with equivalent ratings; they are only used to
calculate corrected time and back calculate elapsed time and rating when
puvlishing race results. I'll Add ASPN for the next release as an interim
to the generic solution.
