Handicap formula

I have been using the internal handicap formula within Sailwave for sometime now, I was using it before it was easier (& intenal). I want to look at the formula again in external mode, but am not sure how to do that.

I have Excel loaded.

Can you please point me in the right direction with the steps needed to do this, please?

Hi Rob,

In the Edit scoring system select External/Debug

When you have selected RYA NHC

Happy New Year to you too, Jon,

Thank you,

When I selected the ‘custom external’ radio button, I get this:

… but when I choose the ‘external/debug’ it brings up the spreadsheet, great!

Now I have to look at the spreadsheet!

If I want to change anything, can I do that and save the spreadsheet, as is?

Hi Rob if you specify custom then you have to supply the name of the custom template you wish to use. (Bottom left)

If you want to modify something then I suggest you copy the template and rename it or you could use the same name but store it in a different directory.

If you modify something while it’s displaying the calculations then this will not change the template. You need to alter the template itself if you want your changes to affect all future calculations.

A belated thank you Jon,

I will ponder this.
