Handicap Systems

I am looking to Sailwave to help with our handicapping system.

We rank sailors at our National event. The person who exceeds their ranking by the most wins the handicap prize.

We subtract the ranking from the places to get the points. So if you are ranked 10th but come second, you get 8 points.

If you are ranked 1st but come 10th, you get -9 etc.

Highest points wins.

I need to be able to use a variable for the ranking. Is there a straightforward way of doing this?

Rob

Hi Rob,

This is not something that I can see a way of doing with Standard Sailwave.

It would require some custom changes.

I would think that this would have to be done externally, e.g. in
Excel

Export results from Sailwave to Excel, then set up the

calculations.
